DIESEL Sterling Pre Hysterical Claw Biker Necklace Hammered Links 4 Man or Woman
Dramatic and exotic with an exciting barbaric look, this Diesel sterling hammered chain necklace has a horn claw or talon pendant.  Called "Pre-Hysterical," it is a rare design that was once sold at Nordstrom (and elsewhere) but is now impossible to find.  Thank Goodness for eBay!  Equally fabulous on a man or woman, it manages to look both primitive and sophisticated at the same time and gives the wearer the feeling of power that can come only from wearing the claw of a fierce beast as jewelry!
The necklace is in Very Good / Excellent pre-worn condition with no damage of any kind, just normal light wear consistent with age: dirt, scratches and tarnish.  It has a lovely vintage patina with oxidation(deliberate darkening) in the hammered links and visible grain if you look closely at the pendant; cleaning and polishing are left to the buyer's discretion.
There is a hinged mechanism in the large oval link that pushes in to form a secure clasp which is "hidden" for an unbroken, smooth design.  The chain measures about 17-1/2", extended and the claw and rings have an overall drop length of about 3".  It weighs 65 grams.
It is signed "Diesel" on the clasp and "925 A-1" on the large ring above the pendant.  (Last photo.)  Diesel was founded in Italy in 1978 and is famous for denim and a bold, innovative approach to fashion.
